"I'd rather build the thing than hand over a pretty file someone else has to figure out."

I'm a designer who codes, and a developer who designs. I started studying Media Vormgeving in 2023 and joined Salesfision in 2024. I came in as a designer and now lead both the design and the development on most projects there.

The parts I like most: a fresh brief, building the first prototype, and that moment a client opens the link and sees it for real. The part I don't like is when half the idea gets lost handing a design over to someone else, so I just do both myself.

Timeline
  • 2023 Started Media Vormgeving

Where I learned the difference between something that just looks nice and something that actually works. Four-year program, class of 2026.

  • 2024 Joined Salesfision

Joined as a designer at a digital agency. Within a few months I was leading both the design and the build on most projects.

  • 2025 First own clients: Excellent Softwash, Salesfision

Started taking on web work for real clients next to the day job. Building for people who actually pay changed how I scope and design things.

  • 2026 Viking Barbershop, full brand

My first full brand project on my own. Logo, brandbook and website for a barbershop opening in 2026, from a blank page all the way to launch.

The tools change every year. The way I think about it doesn't. I try to design things I can actually build, and build things I'd want to use myself.
